Update on games and Gamethread

So here is what's going on in today's games before the Bears and Pack start:

The Vikings lead the Browns 24-13
The Vikes got off to a slow start, but Favre and Peterson have really got it going for the Pack in the second half half. Brady Quinn has been alright and Lewis has had decent games, but nothing special. It looks like things are going to be rough for the Browns

  • Lewis 11 car, 57 yds, 0 tds
  • Royal 3 rec, 34 yds, 0 tds
What started as a close game in the first half is now getting out of hand for the Browns.

The Lions are starting to catch up to the Saints. The Saints stormed out to an early 28-10 lead in the first half, but after a bomb from Stafford to Johnson the game is now a much closer 28-17. Stafford still has struggled with a completion percentage under 50 percent. The lions still suck and will suck all season.

Brees is still being Brees and Mike Bell is turning in a very nice game. We'll see what happens.

So yeah AP is good at sports and BrittFarr had a good game. Hopefully the Bears can keep up.

Shaun Hill is having a not bad day and Gore has been decent. The defense has been better than expected holding a high powered Arizona offense to 16 points. Well see if this post can pull one out for ole Ryno!

lol Brady Quinn scrambles away from trouble and then just drops the ball when he tries to pass. HAHAHA Domer fail!

This game is going to get out of hand quickly.

And offense fail from the Queens on a short field.

Adrian Peterson is simply good. Not fair, not fair at all

I missed the early games, though I caught Peterson's last TD. Truly, indeed, he is good at running with footballs

It's truly unfair that he's allowed to run with footballs.

Redskins offense is looking pretty pathetic, but I guess the Giants D is pretty good
Reply
(dying laughing), McNabb may have broken a rib, which could lead to Vick starting next week

I heard McNabb was injured by a text from friends in Philly, but I didn't realize it was a rib. Oh dear are the boos gong to fly in the City of Brotherly Hate. lol
Reply
Actually, it won't be Vick, since he's suspended for the first two games.
Reply
So what Kevin Cobb for a few games?
Reply
It will be Kevin Kolb, I'm curious to see what will happen in game 3 when Vick becomes eligible. I think Reid will probably stick with Kolb but it makes for an interesting dynamic.
Reply
Never good with names thanks for the fix lol :) .

Yeah it's going to be interesting. I'm not convinced about Vick as anything but a runner, but we will see what happens.
Reply
I don't know what kind of shape he's in either. It's not like he could train to NFL-caliber levels while in prison
Reply
That is a concern with Vick and has been ever since the Eagles signed him.

All of this uncertainty must make the Philly beat reporters horny.
Reply
It didn't sound *too* serious - McNabb might even be back next week. The Eagles could just be gaming the media with the injury report though
Reply
Yeah, but Reed even said he's doubtful for next week. It sounds like broken rib. It may not turn out to be that bad, but right now it's not looking too great for Philly (though Kolb supposedly has some promise)
Reply
Ryno has got to be pulling his hair out 3rd and Goal down 13-16

And touchdown Niners. Nice play by Shaun Hill dumping it off to Gore under pressure. Shaun Hill doesn't look as shitty as he did last year.

Anyone care to offer their predictions for tonight's game?

I say Bears win it 27-24.
Reply
I'll go with 24-17 Bears
